Frequently asked questions
The essentials, in five answers.
What is Gastro Lab, and who is it for?+
An online training platform for hospitality. It is used by the person running a restaurant, a bar or a hotel to train their team: they buy a course for each person, the team takes it from their phone at their own pace, and progress is tracked from the manager dashboard. Four courses —Floor Service, Bar and Cocktails, Upselling and Sales, and Management and Leadership— in Spanish, English and German, with video, reading text and an assessment in every module.
How much does it cost?+
$29.90 per course and per person, in a single payment. No subscription, no automatic renewal and no later charges. Course Plus is $32.80: the same course plus thirty follow-up questions. An additional block of ten questions costs $2.90, and reactivating a course whose deadline has passed costs $9.95. The Intro Pack is free.
How long does an employee have to complete a course?+
Thirty calendar days from the moment it is assigned, and both sides can see the countdown. If the deadline passes without the course being finished, it is locked but the progress is kept intact: it is reactivated for $9.95 with a fresh deadline and continues exactly where it stopped. The platform account itself never expires.
How do I train my team, and what do I get to see?+
You add each person with their email address and assign them a course. They receive their credentials by email and sign in from any phone. On their profile you see which modules they have done, the score of every test, which topics they get wrong most often, and when they earn the certificate, which carries a verifiable code. The employee never sees a price at any point.
What is Gastro Flash?+
The follow-up after the course, so that what was learned does not end with the exam. Once somebody has finished their training you send them a block of ten questions that you choose yourself: the ones from the courses, your own, or the ones the assistant writes from your menu. They arrive by email and as a task in their account. When they answer, you see how many they got right, and the platform tells you whether it is worth having them repeat the course or whether they are ready for a new one.
